In 2008, the frequency of Newsletters is being reduced and each one will cover two months, as follows:-
(none in January), Feb/Mar, Apr/May, Jun/Jul, (none in August), Sep/Oct, Nov/Dec.

Articles from all Newsletters will be posted on this page. Any other important information will be issued where necessary to teams via notices, however we would like to encourage everyone to check the website regularly for up to date information. April/May 2008 Newsletter articles:
Training returns to Pevensey Rec from the FIRST WEEK OF APRIL. Please see the Training Page for further details.
Official Club training stops at the end of June and starts back from Tue 26 August. The last subs month will be June (these will be adjusted for cancelled training sessions) and subs will start back again in September.
There is a football holiday course in the Easter school holiday at Pevensey Rec run by SAFA from Mon 14-Thur 17 April. 10am-3pm, £65 to include a limited edition 2008 SAFA football. Open to boys and girls aged 5-13 yrs. These courses are always popular, so please book early at www.planet-safa.com
Presentation Evening - this is booked for Sat 14 June at The Albany Lions Hotel. Invitations will go out nearer the time giving more information, but please note the team times as follows:U6s, U7s, U8s: 5.00-6.00pm...U9s, U10s, U11s: 6.15-7.15pm.....Girls: 7.30-8.00pm.....U12s, U13s: 8.15-9.00pm......U14s, U15s: 9.15-10.00pm.
Registrations Week 17-21 June: This will be held like last year - please come into the Pavilion during your child's training session to complete membership/league forms for the 2008/09 season.
Boots Wanted: SAFA are collecting football boots (size 9+) to take to young men in Africa. Please give any unwanted boots to Emma, Andrea or Sharon to pass on, thank you.

Litter at Rec: Please can everyone try and help keep the area tidy, thanks.

Good Friday - U10s have no training on Good Friday. U13s & U15s will be told by Managers if training is still on.
Please remember subs for cancelled sessions are adjusted at the end of the season by the Treasurer.

We have a new 11-a-side junior pitch at Adur Park, Stone Cross. Please park in the car park by Stone Cross School. Directions are shown on the Find Us page of this website.
SAFA Easter Course: There is another popular FA Charter Standard Holiday Course run by SAFA at Pevensey Rec, Mon 14-Thurs 17 April, 10am-3pm. Cost £65 (includes limited edition SAFA football). Places go quickly, please book online at www.planet-safa.com.

Conduct: Please remember players and parents have all signed Codes of Conduct. These apply to training sessions as well as matches.
Car Parking: Pev Rec can still get very busy on some Sundays. Please use the Pevensey Castle Car Park. It's free and the gate leads directly onto the ground.
10th Anniversary: It's the Club's 10th anniversary this summer and a celebration will be held later in the year. If you have any photos from the Club's history that we can borrow, please give them to Emma, Andrea or Sharon (please write your name on the back). Thanks.

A reminder that December subs are £6, subs for January 2008 are back to normal. Please ensure subs are up to date before the Christmas break.

One league has written to all clubs reminding them of the importance of spectators' behaviour at matches. We thank parents for their continued support on this issue.
Pevensey Cricket Club have net practice in January which 13+ year olds can attend. Places must be booked. See the poster in the Pavilion for more information.
Tesco green vouchers - it is not too late to hand these in. Any spare vouchers can be banked for next year.
We always have jobs available for any willing volunteers. Please speak to a committee member if you are interested in helping in any way.
Adur Park - we have signed a Contract with Westham Parish Council allowing us the use of a junior 11-a-side pitch. This will hopefully be used from January 2008.
Letters will be coming out about the Christmas parties - please keep a look out and get your booking slips back asap.
