Welcome back to everyone for the start of the 2007/08 season. We would like to thank all our Managers, Coaches, Players, Supporters and Volunteers for committing to the Club for another season. Their time and efforts are greatly appreciated. The website is in the course of being updated....please be patient but you can look forward to seeing lots of new material soon. The September Newsletter will be out at training next week and will give details of winter training for all teams. In the meantime you can check this information out on the Training page. We have a trip to see Charlton v Cardiff City organised for Saturday November 10th. Further details will be on the Newsletter and shortly on the website. This is open to all Club members, their family and friends and is on a first come, first served basis. We only have one coach going so book your tickets early!

On Sunday 15 July, we are having a stoolball competition with the Cricket Club at Pevensey Recreation Ground. This will be followed by a B-B-Q. We also have some rides, a bouncy castle, cream teas etc. The fun starts at 2.00pm. See the posters in the Pavilion for further information. All profits to fund the new security shutters for the Pavilion. Please come along and show your support - teams have been filled but there's plenty of fun to be had for the spectators!

We are holding a REGISTRATIONS WEEK, the week beginning Monday 9 July. During your child's training session that week, please come into the Pavilion where new season membership forms will be available for completing. The annual membership fee will also be payable. League forms will also need completing in readiness for the new season, so it is important that we get as many completed as possible. If you have not supplied a copy birth certificate last season for your child, please bring a copy with you. For teams in the Sussex Sunday League (Gawaine, Mark, Emma, John S and Girls) you will also need to bring 2 passport size photos of your child, as they require League ID forms. Look forward to seeing as many of you as possible that week. Tea/coffee available!

A reminder that this year's Presentation Evening will be held on Friday 20 July at The Mansion (Lions) Hotel. Invitations will be going out shortly to those members who have been with us for the 2006/07 season, giving further details.

SAFA are once again running an FA Charter Standard Holiday Course at Pevensey Recreation Ground. This will be held from Monday 20 - Fri 24 August, 10am-3pm. Nine of our U10 players have been asked to represent Pevensey Fire Station in a charity tournament at Brighton's Withdean Stadium on Sunday 29 April. The tournament is in memory of Geoff Wicker and Brian Wembridge, the two firefighters killed on duty in a fireworks factory explosion in Halland last year. Every Fire Station in East Sussex has been asked to enter a team and profits will go to the Memorial Fund, Fire Service National Benevolent Fund and The MacMillan Cancer Relief Fund. We wish the boys lots of luck. Everyone is welcome to go along on the day and show their support. The tournament runs from 9.30am - 1.30pm, after which there will be a charity match between the East Sussex Fire & Rescue team and the Brighton & Hove Albion Old Boys team. Entrance is by donation at the gates. If you cannot attend but would like to make a donation for the day, please speak to Tony Fear (769718).

SAFA (Southern Association Football Academy) are running an FA CHARTER STANDARD HOLIDAY COURSE at Pevensey Recreation Ground in the second week of the Easter holiday, Tues 10th - Fri 13th April, 10am-3pm. This course is open to boys and girls, 6-14 yrs and you do not have to be a member of Pevensey & Westham JFC to attend. To book online, please visit their website www.planet-safa.com

Please note that training sessions at Eastbourne Sports Park are always on unless Eastbourne Sports Park decide that weather conditions make it unsafe to train. In this event you will be contacted by your Manager to let you
know. Therefore subs remain payable for the sessions provided.

We still have tickets available for the trip to watch Charlton v Aston Villa on Saturday 30th December. The coach leaves at approximately 9.15am (to be confirmed) for a 12.45ko.
